“I was diagnosed with giant cell arteritis in 2019. I am a former pediatric nurse and an ordained Episcopal deacon. Since retiring I volunteer for my church and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Vasculitis has caused me to have exhaustion, shortness of breath and lightheadedness when engaging in physical activity for more that 10-15 minutes.
I support the VPPRN because I believe that the more research that is done, the more treatments for vasculitis will be developed for all the people who suffer from this condition. Since the numbers of people with vasculitis are small we need everyone to participate in research to obtain significant results.”
Double Match Day is here—help us celebrate 40 years by raising $40,000.
People living with vasculitis rely on support, research, and connection every day.
Today only, your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, helping us reach more patients, fund critical research, and ensure no one faces vasculitis alone.
