Recognizing the unique challenges children face, Dr. Bloom helped launch the first pediatric vasculitis registry within the Vasculitis Patient-Powered Research Network (VPPRN). This groundbreaking work is helping researchers better understand how vasculitis impacts children—ensuring their experiences are represented and their needs are addressed.
“It’s extremely important to study vasculitis in children,” she explains, highlighting the need for research tailored specifically to their development, diagnosis, and long-term care.
Through her leadership in research, collaboration with the Vasculitis Foundation, and dedication to her patients, Dr. Bloom is helping build a future where children with vasculitis have better answers, stronger support, and more opportunities to thrive.
