Living with Microscopic Polyangiitis

Kelsey was diagnosed with microscopic polyangiitis in 2008 at the age of 12. A defining moment in her experience living with a lifelong diagnosis was recognizing the advantage she had as the child of a nurse, and how challenging it could be for other families navigating the condition without that background knowledge. This perspective inspired her commitment to using her lived experience to support and help others whenever possible. She currently works as a Medical Research Assistant at Helios Clinical Research. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with her cats, and exploring topics in sociology.
