Jim D. Walter, PhD
Founder and President
Institute for the Preservation of Health (IPH)
Dr. Walter is the Founder and President of IPH. Motivated by the premature death of his father at age 45, Dr. Walter tailored his education to study the factors that contribute toward the development of heart disease. He ultimately completed his PhD in Cardiovascular Exercise Physiology in 1991.
He spent the first 10 years of his professional career teaching and developing preventive and rehabilitative cardiology programs in the Philadelphia area. He has spent the last 23 years in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, but his passion has always remained to help people take more responsibility for their own health.
