Allison Dempsey, PhD, PMH-C

Professor of Psychiatry

University of Colorado Anschutz

Dr. Dempsey is Director of Informatics in the Department of Psychiatry and Interim Director of Perinatal and Family Services at DOPsych Women’s Behavioral Health and Wellness.

She also directs the Connections Program for High-Risk Infants and Families and provides psychological care for women, infants, and families through the UCHealth Neonatal Intensive Care Unit–Anschutz and CU Medicine Psychiatry Women’s Behavioral Health and Wellness clinics.

Dr. Dempsey specializes in perinatal psychology, maternal mental health, anxiety, depression, and postpartum depression. Her research focuses on maternal mental health interventions addressing postpartum trauma, anxiety, and hypertension monitoring.
