Sharon DeBusk

Chief Program Officer

Sharon DeBusk joined the Vasculitis Foundation in March 2025, bringing over three decades of experience in editorial leadership, medical communications, and program management. She previously freelanced with the VF (2017–2020), providing editing, writing, and publications support for various programs.

During her career, Sharon has led editorial teams at MDLinx; the National Psoriasis Foundation, the veterinary medicine unit of Mars Inc., and various community newspapers around the Pacific Northwest.

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, with minors in Health and Photojournalism, from Oregon State University. She has two grown kids, McKenzie and Hunter, and lives near Mt. Adams in Washington with her husband, Tom, and their sometimes comical malamute, Luna. Sharon enjoys seeing the world through her camera lens, and recently took up e-biking.
