Dahlia Mak, Board Member

Healthcare Administrator and Consultant

Dahlia Mak has been in healthcare administration and consulting for more than 20 years with a focus on care transformation and improvements in quality and patient safety. She has brought numerous leaders and multidisciplinary teams together to tackle complex, time sensitive clinical and administrative challenges. Her experience includes working with academic medical centers and managing large-scale healthcare transformations.

Healthcare improvement has been an area of interest personally and professionally. In 2013, the urgent need for quality and patient safety improvements hit home with the sudden death of her brother from a missed diagnosis of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA).

As a board member, Dahlia has a focus on the patient/family perspective in supporting the VF’s mission.

“We need to elevate awareness and knowledge of vasculitis from diagnosis and treatment to long-term disease management,” she said. “We need to ensure that patients receive the best possible vasculitis care regardless of their zip code.”
