Alexandra Villa-Forte, MD, MPH, FACP

Dr. Villa-Forte is a physician at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Vasculitis Care and Research with more than two decades of experience dedicated to improving the lives of people with vasculitis. Her clinical and research work has helped shape treatment approaches for granulomatosis with polyangiitis and advanced understanding of complications such as venous thrombosis recurrence. Over the course of her career, her focus has increasingly centered on expanding patient access to specialized vasculitis care.
A respected educator and national leader in the field, Dr. Villa-Forte supervises rheumatology and vasculitis fellows, lectures nationally, and has contributed to the development of national vasculitis management guidelines. Her leadership includes service with the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology, where she has helped shape scientific programs and clinical guidance.
Supported early in her career by the Vasculitis Foundation (VF), she now serves on its Board of Directors, leveraging her expertise to address barriers to care, advance education, and support innovative research to improve outcomes for people living with vasculitis.
