“Born and raised in Southern California, I led a normal and active lifestyle until 2017 when my health got very bad and ended up in the hospital. I was very fortunate that I was diagnosed with vasculitis in about 3 weeks as I was referred to a rheumatologist who is well-versed in this disease. Today, I’m in a much better place and help bring awareness in order to help others.
Research is an important aspect of our disease in order for doctors to better understand our disease. That’s why I feel it’s important to be a part of the VPPRN. Everyone’s participation plays a vital role in the process. By participating in the VPPRN, I know that I am providing practitioners with data so they can better understand vasculitis to improve my life and the lives of everyone touched by vasculitis.”
