SPEAKERS

Annie Reynolds

Patient Advocate

Living with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA/Wegener’s)

Annie was diagnosed with GPA at age 14 after a long and difficult journey to diagnosis. Now a graduate student at Texas Christian University studying early childhood education, language, and literacy, she is passionate about supporting children and teens living with chronic illness.

Inspired by her own experiences, Annie wrote You Are Strong: A Story About a Life with Chronic Illnesses, an illustrated children’s book that shares her vasculitis journey with honesty, hope, and resilience. Through her advocacy, she aims to help young people and their families feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Annie continues to manage the challenges of vasculitis while using her story to encourage others, reminding them that there is hope beyond diagnosis and that no one has to face rare disease alone.
