Toni Jefferies

Sr. Director of Communications

Toni joined the Vasculitis Foundation as Sr. Director of Communications in the summer of 2024. She has more than 30 years of experience in journalism and communications, working as a reporter and editor in New York, Virginia, and Florida, including at the New York Times.

Her roles in communications include the State College of Florida and the Florida Guardian Ad Litem Office. She also has worked as a communications consultant for Enlightened Photography and for Grant Jefferies Photography. Toni received her bachelor’s degree in communications from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and won a fellowship to complete her master’s degree in journalism at The Ohio State University in Columbus.

Toni and her husband Grant have a two  dogs and two birds, all rescues. They enjoy sailing and traveling in their free time.
