Emily Girdwood

Development Manager

Emily is an accomplished fundraising leader with more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit philanthropy. She is a team player and a strong believer in personal and organizational excellence.

After graduating from Colorado College, Emily participated in a year-long position with the Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust as a Public Interest Fellow and then became the Assistant Director of Operations for the Colorado House and Resource Center. Since then, she has become a nonprofit fundraising professional with a proven record of organizing, leading, and executing successful fundraising events and campaigns with organizations such as the Adaptive Sports Center at Crested Butte, Freedom Service Dogs, Inc., and the Colfax Community Network.

Emily believes that philanthropy is for everyone. She is passionate about creating interactions that allow donors to feel seen and connected to an organization’s mission.

In her free time, Emily serves on the board of the local movie theater, trains her dog, Taco, reads, skis and mountain bikes. She lives in Crested Butte, Colorado, with her husband, Mark.
